HOUSE RULES AND REGULATIONS

A. ADMINISTRATIVE RULES

SEC.1. CLUB OFFICIAL HOURS: Except when otherwise authorized by the PRESIDENT, the HOUSE CHAIRMAN, or the CLUB MANAGER, the official hours of the Clubhouse and of designated facilities are as follows:

SEC.2. The Club assumes no responsibility for the safety of persons using the Club or of property belonging to members, visitors or guest’s but will exercise all possible care in preventing loss of personal property if deposited in such place and manner as may be specified by the Club Manager.

SEC.3. CLUB EMPLOYEES: Employees are not permitted to leave the Club premises for the service of a member or guest during working hours except when authorized by the CLUB MANAGER.

SEC.4. RULE ON TIPS: The giving of TIPS or GRATUITY to any employee or attendant is against the established policy of the Club to avoid discrimination in service. Contributions for bonuses to employees solicited during Christmas and sanctioned by the Club are the only exceptions.

SEC.5. COMPLAINTS AGAINST EMPLOYEES: No employee of the Club shall be reprimanded or in any way punished by members, guests or visitors. In case any fault is found with employees, it should be reported directly to the CLUB MANAGER or to the HOUSE CHAIRMAN. If neither is available at the time, it should be reported in writing to either officer who shall take the necessary action on the matter.

SEC.6. COMPLAINTS AGAINST SERVICE: Any member, guest or visitor who has a complaint against the service or quality of the food, drink or refreshments served should directly inform the CLUB MANAGER or the HOUSE CHAIRMAN or their designates.

SEC.7. DAMAGE TO CLUB PROPERTY: Any member, spouse, dependent, guest or visitor who breaks or damages any property of the Club shall be liable for the value of the property broken or damaged and shall be assessed accordingly.

Where malicious intent is apparent, the HOUSE COMMITTEE shall be IMMEDIATELY INFORMED in writing of such an act which may be considered a ground for SUSPENSION OR EXPULSION.

SEC.8. USE OF CLUB FACILITIES: The facilities of the Club for which the Club was organized, namely: bowling, swimming, tennis and such other sports and non-sports amenities approved by the Board of Directors, shall be used by members and their dependents, guests, and visitors for no purpose other than for their recreation and enjoyment in connection with the objectives for which the Club was organized. Members shall at all times be responsible for the behavior of their dependents, guests and visitors.

Gambling of any kind or manner is ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED.

SEC.9. CANCELLATION OF GUEST PRIVILEGE: Privileges granted to GUESTS may be suspended or revoked at any time by the Board of Directors.

SEC.10. PERSONS NOT ALLOWED ENTRY: The Club reserves the right to refuse entry to or to reject from the Club premises persons whom the Board of Directors has determined to be “persona non-grata” to the Club.

SEC.11. ANIMALS are not allowed in the Club premises.

SEC.12. PARKING SPACES adjacent to and near the Clubhouse are reserved for cars properly identified with the Club sticker. Drivers, however, shall not be allowed to stay in the parking area, but at the designated place where they may be paged.

12.1 The Club’s parking facilities are available to members, spouses and dependent(s) only while they are using the facilities of the Club.

12.2 Each member may obtain a maximum of five (5) stickers only. For the benefit of all members, the Security Guard at the Club’s main lobby entrance shall be assigned to personally place the car sticker on the lower right corner windshield of the member’s car.

12.3. Only cars of members and dependents with the current year sticker shall be allowed to park in the Club’s Parking Area. Members and dependents will not be allowed to park their cars in the Area unless they are there to patronize the various facilities of the Club. The limited parking spaces are for the exclusive use and enjoyment of members and dependents who use the facilities of the Club. Use of motorcycles, bicycles, skateboards, scooters and other electronically operated toys are not accepted in the Club premises except in designated areas

12.4. Overnight parking is strictly prohibited and overstaying cars shall be towed at the expense of their owners. Overnight parking is strictly prohibited and overstaying cars shall be charged a parking fee of Php500.00.

12.5. In cases of emergency, such as those occasioned by unavoidable engine breakdown and the like, a parking fee in such amount as may be determined by the Board of Directors shall be automatically debited to the account of the member who owns the vehicle(s) parked overnight due to emergency situation.

12.6.The five (5) stickers allotted each member are for their own personal use and therefore non-transferable.

12.7.The Management shall not be responsible for any damage to vehicles or loss of their contents caused by fire, theft, collision, water or other causes.

SEC.13. FIREARMS are absolutely prohibited in the Club premises. If a member or his guest or visitor violates this rule, the member shall be liable to suspension.

Carrying of firearms within the Club premises is limited to Club Security Officers in uniform. Security Guards accompanying the President of the Philippines and those authorized by the Board of Directors.

SEC.14. Bodyguards are prohibited within the Club premises except when prior arrangement is made with the Club Manager.

SEC.15. Playing of radios and record players, etc. is not permitted in any part of the Clubhouse except with the permission of the Club Manager who shall determine whether such playing is for the general welfare of the members.

SEC.16. No prohibited drugs or substance, nor any toxic materials shall be brought into and used within the Club premises. If a member or his guest or visitor violates this rule, the member shall be liable to suspension.

B. MEMBERS, DEPENDENTS, GUESTS & VISITORS

SEC.1. Members, their families, guests and visitors are expected to conduct themselves within the Club premises in a manner befitting ladies and gentlemen on all occasions.

Spouses of members and their unmarried children below 35 years of age are entitled to certain privileges of the Club as defined by the Board of Directors.

SEC.2. The meaning of the term “dependent” shall be as follows:

a) Spouse
b) Unmarried children below 35 years of age

MSCI Amended By-Laws, SEC. 4 (Members of Family, Guests and Visitors).

“Immediate Members of Family. The immediate members of the family of a regular member in good standing are entitled to use all the Club facilities, subject to such limitations, rules and regulations as the Board of Directors may prescribe from time to time. The immediate members of the family of a regular member shall consist of such member’s legitimate spouse as well as unmarried sons and daughters below 35 years of age, provided, however, that the unmarried sons and daughters shall, upon reaching the age of 26, pay a dependent’s registration fee as well as a monthly dependent’s fee in such amounts as may be determined and fixed by the Board of Directors from time to time and provided, further, that any and all obligations incurred by said unmarried sons and daughters in/to the Club shall be directly assumed by such unmarried sons and/or daughters concerned jointly and severally with their respective parents whose shares of stock may be sold at public auction for non-payment of any of their dependents’ obligations.”

SEC.3. The privileges granted to an individual under the provisions stated above may be suspended or revoked at any time by the Board of Directors.

SEC.4. Club members are entitled to introduce guests and visitors to use the Club facilities.

The meaning of the terms “guest” and “visitors” shall be as defined in MSCI Amended By-Laws,SEC. 5. and SEC. 6.

“Guests. Guests shall be those persons who are non-residents of the Greater Manila Area, to whom the privileges of the Club may be extended by regular members upon invitation, for a period not exceeding fifteen days, subject to prior approval of the club Secretary or of the Chairman of the House Committee. Such privilege shall not be rendered more than once in six months to the same person. The privilege of regular members to invite guests may be suspended by the Board at any time at its discretion. A regular member shall pay dues for each guest introduced by him in an amount equivalent to fifty percent (50%) of the regular monthly dues. Guests shall have the use of all parts of the Clubhouse and grounds, and other facilities of the club but shall not have the right to introduce other guests.

A regular member shall be responsible for all debts or liabilities to the Club that may be incurred by any person introduced by him as his guests. He shall also be responsible for the conduct of his guests.”

“Visitors”. All persons other than those mentioned in Section 4 and 5 (of the Amended By-Laws), entering the Clubhouse accompanied by a member shall be considered visitors. Such member shall be responsible for the conduct of his visitors.

Visitors are not permitted to use the sports facilities of the Club, except at such hours as may be designated by the Board of Directors and in the company of his host member.”

Within Club rules and regulations, dependents of a member may also introduce visitors to use the Club facilities, unless explicitly prohibited by the member.

SEC.5. Members shall remind their dependents and their dependents’ visitors of proper deportment in the Club and the observance of all Club Rules.

The member shall be responsible for the conduct of his dependents and their visitors.

SEC.6. All members, spouses and dependents of members shall obtain Membership cards issued by the Club and must submit the same when signing chits.

No visitor can use the facilities of the Club unless accompanied by the member who introduced him. Letters given by a member to introduce a non-member as his visitor and to authorize such party to sign Club chits on the member’s behalf and in his absence shall not be honored.

Visitors accompanied by members and dependents using sports facilities will be charged a one (1) time guest fee per day of P100.00 or any amount fixed by the Sports Committee. No guest fee will be charged to Guest Cardholders.

SEC.7. Children below 18 years of age SHALL NOT BE SERVED ANY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE NOR SHALL THEY TAKE THE SAME WITHIN THE CLUB PREMISES.

SEC.8. Minors and children ARE NOT ALLOWED in the Bar.

SEC.9. Children below 10 years of age MUST ALWAYS be accompanied by parents or any adult authorized by the member and/or parent.

SEC.10. ORDERING OF FOODS: Each Club food outlet maintains separate menu items. In order to avoid disruption of service, members, dependents and their guests or visitors should order only the items maintained in the particular outlet where they are.

SEC.11. MEMBER’S SPECIAL PRIVILEGES: A Club member enjoys the following Special Privileges:

11.1. MEMBER'S BIRTHDAY

One (1) whole cake will be given for free to the member who celebrates his/her birthday in any of the Club’s function rooms.

SEC.12. PATRONAGE REFUND: The Club collects P2,500.00 from each member every month as payment for the monthly dues. From this amount, a maximum of P750.00 per month will be applied/credited against a member’s total monthly consumption provided his consumption is at least equal to or greater than P750.00 exclusive of VAT and service charge. The following are the amenities/outlets included in the monthly consumption:

  • Food and drinks in all restaurants (except those covered by the special patronage refund and concessionaires food products)
  • Bowling, gym, swimming pool, tennis, squash and badminton courts
  • Beauty parlor and barber shop Concessionaires such as laundry station, white linen, aikido, boxing and fees for all ballboys, trainers, swimming and dancing instructors are excluded.

SEC.13.SPECIAL PATRONAGE REFUND: Members who wish to hold their parties, meetings and other gatherings at function room prices in any of our outlets will be given a 5% special patronage refund on total food and beverage consumption. The refund will be credited to the member’s account if the cost of the party is paid within the month when the party was held.

13.1. Total food and beverage consumption (excluding miscellaneous charges such as sound system, electricity and corkage) on functions should meet the minimum sales of P10,000.00 per calendar month (net of 20% birthday discounts if applicable)

13.2. 50% deposit is required two (2) weeks before the date of the party and full payment should be made right after the said function.

SEC.14. MEMBERSHIP CARDS. Members, dependents and guests are required to present their cards prior to the use of the club facilities.

14.1. When card is not available:

14.1.1. Members and spouses are required to secure a one (1) day card from the outlet and affix their signatures thereon. Waiter/attendant forwards the one (1) day card to the Membership Office for verification.

14.1.2. The one (1) day card will be automatically charged to the account of the member in any amount fixed by the Membership Committee and approved by the Board.

14.1.3. Dependents have to get their one (1) day card directly from the Membership Office for verification.

14.1.4. Lost card will be charged in such amount fixed by the Membership Committee.

14.2. AUTHORIZATION LETTER. In case of pick-up orders, an authorization letter is required together with the membership card. If the card is not available, the authorization letter should be forwarded to the Membership Office for verification and issuance of a one (1) day card and a fee fixed by the Membership Committee and approved by the Board shall be charged automatically to the member.

14.2.1. In cases of functions, however, where a signed contract is filed with the Reservations Office together with the 50% deposit, only an authorization letter is required. The submission of sponsoring member’s card becomes optional.

14.2.2. Authorization letter is only allowed on food, beverages and functions.

SEC.15. SUSPENDED MEMBERS: Members suspended by the Board of Directors are disallowed entry in the Club premises and the use of any of the facilities. The suspension shall take effect from the day indicated in the notice or shall take effect immediately upon receipt of the same by the member being suspended. Suspension shall cover the dependents of the member, guests and visitors. No member shall be allowed to sponsor a suspended member to use any of the Club facilities. He is required, however, to continue paying his monthly dues the period of suspension.

SEC.16. BANNED PERSONNEL: Members and Dependents will strictly abide by not sponsoring or bringing in banned employees, trainers, coaches and other persons inside the Club premises.

SEC.17. POSTING OF NOTICES/POSTERS. Only notices of Club activities shall be posted in the Club Bulletin Board. Other notices of interest to the Club or its members must be submitted to management for approval before being posted.

No posters, circulars, billboards, streamers and other notices shall be posted, displayed or circulated within the Club premises, without prior approval of the management.

C. ACCOUNTS

SEC.1. SCOPE OF MEMBER’S ACCOUNTS: The accounts maintained by the Club with members, dependents, and guests shall be only for purchases made directly from the Club or for services rendered by the Club.

SEC.2. The Club office is authorized to receive cash and/or cheques of members in payment of Club accounts, to be duly acknowledged by the standard Club-printed receipts.

SEC.3. Members, dependents and/or guests are not permitted to obtain cash in exchange for IOU’s or cheques.

SEC.4. BOUNCING CHEQUES: Bouncing cheques issued by a member in payment for his accounts shall be made good within 72 hours, Failure to comply with this provision shall subject the member to the following disciplinary actions:

  • Ist Offense - Minimum of one month suspension
  • 2nd offense - Expulsion

SEC.5. SIGNING OF CHITS: Members are required to submit their membership cards before transacting business with the Club. The membership cards are swiped at the terminals located in the different outlets for verification and for the issuance of invoices or receipts which the member signs.

SEC.6. Chits or invoices may also be signed by dependents and guests of members who must also submit their dependents’ and guests’ cards respectively. The member is, however, responsible for any liability to the Club incurred by his dependents and guests. One (1) copy of the invoice or chit will be given to the member, spouse, dependent or guest.

SEC.7. No cash payments will not be accepted for the payment of purchases within the Club premises or for the use of the Club facilities except by way of settlement of the monthly statement of accounts sent to members or on occasion of functions. However, cash coupons may be used when so authorized on special occasions.
