The recent government decision to further extend the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila until May 15 has necessitated the re-calibration of some of our operational plans that were announced earlier.
In this regard, we wish to inform you the following:
- The original plan to tentatively re-open the Club starting May 2, 2020 will now have to be adjusted, with the new re-opening date tentatively set on May 16, provided that establishments such as sports clubs are allowed to re-open by then (otherwise, the re-opening date needs to be re-set per relevant government directive). Resumption of operations will of course be implemented in line with the latest government guidelines.
- The Annual Stockholders Meeting originally slated on May 18 will be re-scheduled to a later date, along with the deadlines for the submission of proxies and their validation. Our Corporate Secretary is expected to issue a notice to all members in this regard shortly.
We are, however, pleased to advise you that the issuance of The Club Torch magazine – the revamped format of the Club Bulletin – will proceed as scheduled. The electronic version of the initial issue of the new magazine will be uploaded to the Club website within this week. You will also receive your hard copy as soon as possible. We hope you will find the publication with its fresh look useful and informative.
Taking this opportunity, let me once again assure you that, amidst the continuing uncertainties brought about by COVID-19, the health and safety of our members, guests and employees will remain our top priority. Hence, we will continue to proactively implement precautionary measures in compliance with the new guidelines from our local authorities in order to achieve this objective.
Thank you for your persistent support and cooperation, which have been crucial in helping us face the challenges posed by the ongoing health and economic crisis.
